PAWTUCKET—A third suspect has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the Dec. 24 shooting death of 21-year-old Ryan Almeida at Galego Court, Pawtucket Police announced Friday.
On Thursday, April 10, Pawtucket Police arrested Tyron M. Wilcox, 21, of 6 Ware Court in Providence. He was taken into custody in Providence with assistance from the Rhode Island State Police Fugitives Task Force and the U.S. Marshals Service, said Major Arthur Martins.
Wilcox was held at the Pawtucket Police Department and on Friday, he was arraigned in District Court in Providence on charges of murder and conspiracy. No plea was entered and he was ordered held without bail at the ACI pending an April 25 hearing.
On Thursday morning, Pawtucket Police announced that a suspect from Providence who had fled to Maine had been apprehended. Daquan Watts, 20, was charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy at District Court, Providence and remains in custody at the ACI pending a bail hearing.
Police also announced that days earlier, on April 4, a 17-year-old male had been similarly charged for his involvement in the crime, and remains at the state Training School.
