CUMBERLAND- Michalina Maczuga, 88, passed away Sunday January 5, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Care Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Walter S. Maczuga.
Born in Poland a daughter of the late Stanislaw and Karolina (Krawczyk) Koziol. She lived in Cumberland for the past 52 years and was formerly of Pawtucket.
Before retiring she was a Weaver for the former Sydney Blumenthal Textile Co. and also was a Bookkeeper for Walter’s Concrete Form Co. of Cumberland.
She was a member and past Mother Of The Year of the former Pulaski Polish Home of Pawtucket.
She leaves 2 daughters Joan C. Pitas of Attleboro, Caroline J. Maczuga of Cumberland, 1 son Steven W. Maczuga of Cumberland, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Alisha Imondi. She was predeceased by 7 siblings.
Her funeral will be held Thursday January 9, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls at 10:00 a.m. CALLING HOURS THURSDAY FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 9:30 A.M. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
