Michael P. Andrews
PAWTUCKET - Michael P. Andrews, 60, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Providence VA Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Bruzzi) Andrews. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Anthony A. Andrews and the late Gloria (Pepin) Andrews Grimley.
Mike was a self-taught jack-of-all-trades and known for his musical talent and gardening expertise. He served in the U.S. Navy, RVAH 1 Squadron, during the Vietnam War. He had been employed by General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Providence and Worcester Railroad, and Qualitex. He also briefly owned and operated a landscape business in Pawtucket and Albany, Georgia.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children: Tishana Andrews of Americus, GA, Samantha Conway and her husband Benjo of Flowery Branch, GA, and Jason Andrews of East Providence; and four loving grandchildren, Sarah, Kennedy and Violet Conway and Anthony Andrews.
Also surviving him are his sisters, brother, and their spouses: Elizabeth Gauvin, Barbara and Rodman Read, Claire Andrews, Janice and Paul Danesi, Raymond and Debora Andrews, John and LeeAnn Andrews, Mark and Cheryll Andrews and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Anthony Andrews, Gloria Bennett and Marie Andrews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a committal service December 2nd at the R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI at 11am.
