PAWTUCKET—It's time to break out the Christmas sweaters and velvet dresses because Santa Claus is coming to town! “Santa to the Stars” Brady White is making his annual appearance for Photos with Santa on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Apex, 100 Main St., Pawtucket.
The Times is proud to once again sponsor the event featuring this very special Santa. Photos will be provided by Pat Zacks, owner of The Camera Werks, 766 Hope St., Providence. The price is $5 for one photo or $8 for two photos. Proceeds go to The Times Merry Christmas Fund, which benefits the Salvation Army of Pawtucket.
For 22 years, Santa to the Stars Brady White has been graciously giving his time for this event during his busiest season. In a career that spans over 30 years, this oh-so-believable Santa has posed for countless TV commercials, advertising campaigns, and magazine covers, as well as being sought after for live appearances, corporate functions and private parties around the globe. He has also hobnobbed with the rich and famous, including Nicholas Cage, Cher, John Travolta, Taylor Swift, Justin Beiber, Donald Trump, Martha Stewart and the Kardashians, to name just a few.
For many Times readers and local residents, a visit with Santa to the Stars is a family tradition. Some folks who attended the event as children are now bringing their own children to meet the famous Santa.
The event is extra special this year because Apex, the site of the Photos with Santa event for many years, has once again agreed to be the host and is providing a festive holiday backdrop. There is plenty of available parking (and it's a great opportunity for mom and dad to sneak in a little shopping).
Apex spokeswoman Beth Pella said, “Apex is in its 89th year and we are excited to welcome Santa to the Stars back to help us in our annual tradition of celebrating with the community!”
The Times will also be accepting direct donations to the Merry Christmas Fund during the event.
