CENTRAL FALLS — An early morning car fire that spread and caused minor damage to two nearby houses is being investigated by the state Fire Marshal’s office.
Fire Chief Robert Bradley said the fire in a vehicle was reported just before 4 a.m. on Thursday at 137 Sylvian St. He said the blaze started in one car that was parked in the double driveway and spread to a second car. The heat and flames melted the exterior siding on the two apartment houses that flanked each side of the driveway, he said.
Bradley said the cars were completely burned but the damage to the houses was minor. No injuries were reported.
