Yvette M. Fortin
PAWTUCKET - Yvette M. Fortin, age 83, died peacefully at the Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, Tuesday, October 2, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved and devoted wife of the late Arcade J. Fortin.
Mrs. Fortin was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Philippe and Juliette (Martin) Bertrand and was a lifelong city resident. She was a proud homemaker, an avid BINGO player and a big fan of Wheel of Fortune.
She leaves her five children and their spouses, Alan (Marge) Fortin of Pawtucket, Richard (Deborah) Fortin of North Providence, Robert (Colleen) Fortin of Coventry, Lisa (Joseph) Lydon of Pawtucket, and Gary (Kelly) Fortin of Littleton, NH. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Irma Rivard, Irene Berthelette, Theresa Brockman, Leo, Roger, and Ovila Bertrand, and a step-sister to the late Eva Johnson.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 from the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux & Son, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Cecilia's Church, Central Avenue, Pawtucket at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket. Calling hours in the funeral home Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island would be appreciated.
