CENTRAL FALLS – Members of the Central Falls Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit executed a search warrant Friday at 63 Fletcher St., 2nd Floor.
The focus of the investigation was a Mildred Ramirez, 48, and her daughter, Luz Ramirez, 24.
During a month-long investigation, it was learned that Ramirez and her daughter were manufacturing and distributing cocaine throughout the city of Central Falls. Investigators also discovered that both females had criminal histories involving the distribution of narcotics and were currently on probation for those offenses.
Upon executing a search warrant at Ramirez’s residence, investigators located stashes of cocaine, crack and marijuana with a street value of nearly $1,500.
In addition to the narcotics, members of the special investigative unit located scales, cooking agents, packaging material and ledgers within the apartment.
Ramirez and her daughter were subsequently placed under arrest for the charges of manufacturing cocaine with intent to deliver; manufacturing marijuana with intent to deliver; controlled substance conspiracy; and distributing a controlled substance near a school zone.
The duo were set to be arraigned in 6th District Court later Friday.
