CUMBERLAND - Linda Lee (Costa) Devonis, 59, of Geldard St. passed away surrounded by her family at home on Thursday. She was the beloved wife of William Devonis.
Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late George Costa Sr. retired Commander, Cumberland Police Department and the late Olinda P.(Lourenco) Costa. Linda Lee was a life long Cumberland resident.
She was employed by the Memorial Hospital of RI for the past 11 years and was previously employed by Blue Cross, Blue Shield of RI, Providence for 21 years.
She devoted her life to her husband and family. Linda was a member of the Independent Fishing Club.
Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Wesley Devonis of Central Falls and Jason Devonis of Cumberland. Two brothers, George Costa Jr. of Harrisburg, PA and Stephen Costa of Painted Post, NY. She also leaves a sister Deborah Desnoyers of Pawtucket and two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd., Cumberland, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Dr., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
