Originally, Rakim Sanders was to workout for the Boston Celtics last Friday at the team’s practice facility in Waltham, Mass. – one day before Boston ousted Philadelphia in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
On Monday Sanders’ agent, Brian Samuels, passed along in an email that the Pawtucket native’s session with the C’s has been rescheduled for a future date.
Sanders’ pre-draft tour of possible suitors remains in full effect. He spent Memorial Day in Detroit before flying to Houston to workout for the Rockets on Tuesday. After catching his breath, Sanders will venture to the Bay Area on Saturday to get checked out by the Golden State Warriors.
The Pistons, Rockets and Warriors – three teams that missed the playoffs – will learn their draft fate Wednesday night when the NBA Draft Lottery takes place prior to Game 2 of Eastern Conference between the Celtics and Heat.
