PAWTUCKET — Central Falls Police say it was “all in the family” with a drug operation that was allegedly being operated out of an apartment on Darling Street.
According to Major James J. Mendonca, members of the Central Falls Police Department's Special Investigative Unit executed a search warrant late Tuesday morning at 97 Darling St., first floor.
The focus of the investigation was 32-year-old Glenda Alamo, who rents the apartment, and her 17-year-old son. Also present in the apartment was Alamo's boyfriend, Jose Diaz, 30.
Mendonca said that during the search, members of the SIU located substantial amounts of crack cocaine, marijuana, ledgers, packaging material and other drug paraphernalia. Along with the drugs, SIU seized cash and Glenda Alamo's 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
All three were arrested and charged with manufacturing with intent to deliver cocaine and marijuana, and controlled substance conspiracy.
Glenda Alamo and Jose Diaz were arraigned Wednesday morning and are being held until their bail hearing scheduled for April 9. Their pre-arraignment conference is scheduled for May 30.
Alamo's son, a juvenile, was ordered held at the state training school Tuesday night and was scheduled to appear in Family Court on Wednesday afternoon, Mendonca said.
