C UMBERLAND – Police put out a notice for a missing teenager Wednesday after he was last seen in the area of Manville Hill Road Tuesday night.
Police are looking for help in locating Mathew Rockefeller, 14, of Cumberland, in connection with the missing person report, Lt. William W. Wilkie said Wednesday.
“If anyone has information on his whereabouts please contact us at Police Department’s main number, 333-2500,” Wilkie said.
Although Rockefeller’s last known contact was in the Manville Hill Road area Tuesday night, Wilkie said police did not have description of the clothing he was wearing at that time. A photograph of Rockefeller released with his listing as a missing juvenile shows him to be wearing a New England Patriots jacket with a set of earphones in his ears.
The teen’s missing person report comes as the Police Department continues to seek the whereabouts of Margaret Weece, 16, who was reported missing on June 3 after apparently driving from the area with a friend or friends. Weece was believed to be headed either to Florida or to California where she has relatives. A car she was believed to have been driving was recovered in Maryland more than a week after she was reported missing, according to police.
Wilkie said Weece, whose photographs and description remain posted on the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children website, had not been located as of Wednesday. Information regarding Weece can also be passed on to police by calling the department at 333-2500.
