CENTRAL FALLS — In the best-case scenarios, teaching is a two-way street. A unique new collaboration between Rhode Island College and the Central Falls School District capitalizes on this, and then some.
Rhode Island College recently hosted a celebration of the first anniversary of its partnership with Central Falls schools through the Innovation Lab. Reportedly the first of its kind in the nation, this joint effort is designed to function as a “shared community,” where new models of learning, teaching and services are developed, piloted and researched.
Through the Innovation Lab, RIC students are on-site in Central Falls schools for experiential learning.
