CUMBERLAND - Zara A. (Bressan) Brown, 79, of England Street, passed away Tuesday at home. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Brown.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late William and Bruna (Monti) Bressan. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.
She loved the beach, crafts, crossword puzzles, and her soap operas.
She leaves her children, Donna J. Blaisdell of Arizona, Debra L. Mercier and Kevin M. Brown both of Cumberland, sister, Elaine Richer of Glocester; brothers, William Bressan and Thomas Bressan of California; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Bruce R. Brown.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday at 8 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in the Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
