William T. Brunelle
PAWTUCKET - William T. "Bill" Brunelle, 85, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Alice S. (Baker) Brunelle for 60 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late William H. and Catherine (Hastings) Brunelle.
Bill was a World War II veteran having served in the US Navy and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Bill worked at Carol Cable for 44 years before retiring in 1990. He was a devoted communicant of St. Teresa Parish, Pawtucket and a 4th degree member of the St. Teresa, Knights of Columbus Council. Bill enjoyed life and participated in many activities. He was an avid Square and Round Dancer for nearly 20 years. Bill was always there to help people when needed.
He is survived by his wife, Alice and many friends. He was the brother of the late Donald Brunelle, Dorothy Brunelle-Tellier and Gladys Duhamel.
VISITATION will begin on Monday at 9 a.m. at CHEETHAM Funeral Home, 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02861 will be appreciated.
