William R. Lomax
PAWTUCKET - William R. Lomax, 76, lifelong resident of Pawtucket, died March 11, 2013. He was born in Pawtucket to the late Norma E. (Simmons) and Charles R. Lomax. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served for four years. He was employed by the Office Appliance Co. for thirty five years and Current Carrier for three years, retiring due to illness. He was a former member of the Saylesville Fire Department, member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where he was a former member of the United Methodist Men and a trustee.
He is survived by his sister Linda Andrews and her husband Bruce of Lincoln, his brother George Lomax and his wife Sheila of Pennsylvania and brother of the late Robert Lomax. He also leaves seven nieces, six great-nieces and a great-nephew.
His funeral will be held at Wesley United Methodist church 55 Woodland St. Lincoln on Friday at 9:30 am. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday 5-8 pm in the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home 530 Smithfield ave. Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will be held in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
