PAWTUCKET - Vito E. Bart, 81, of Williston Way, Pawtucket died on August 28, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the loving husband of Renee Ann Kay (Foley) Bart for fifty three years. Vito was born in Providence, the son of Joseph and Amelia (Bickayska) Bart.
After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Bart worked as a machine operator for the Davol Rubber Company for thirty five years. Vito was a member of the E.P. Seniors Bowling League, Slater Park Lawn Bowling League, coached in the Darlington American Little League, was an avid card player and sports enthusiast and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Vito is survived by his children, Edward V. Bart and his wife Marie of Attleboro, MA, David S. Bart of East Providence, RI, Douglas J. Bart of Pawtucket, RI, Russell J. Bart and his wife Roberta of Harrisville, RI and Sharon R. Depatie and her husband William of Pawtucket, RI. He also leaves his grandchildren Brian E Bart, Erin M. Bart and Megan M. Bart, his brother Charles Bart, sisters Anna Thurber, Genevieve McLellan and Blanche Hoey and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Joseph Bart and sister Melia DuPerry.
The funeral for Mr. Bart will be held Tuesday, September 3rd at 9:30 AM from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 11:00AM. The calling hours will be Monday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
