Seekonk's Gregorek second in Mass. mile |

FITCHBURG, Mass. – It was a day of mixed results for Seekonk’s Johnny Gregorek on Saturday at the MIAA All-State Meet. The long distance specialist lost a close race in the mile, though set a personal best in the discipline with a clocking of 4:15.18 en route to a second-place showing. Gregorek wound up losing by less than a second. Casey O’Brien placed 14th in the 400 (51.25) for the Warriors while Jacob Teixeira finished14th in the 400 hurdles (61.06). The Seekonk girls ended up totaling 13.5 team points thanks to several strong performances in the field events. Krista Chauvin was runner-up in the discus (122-3) and Janelle Clarkson was third in the high jump (5-4) to lead the Warriors. Chauvin was also ninth in the shot put while Jennifer Salit took 12th in the mile and freshman Vanessa Noelte was 16th in the 400 hurdles.
