PAWTUCKET --- Walks, wild pitches, and passed ball were the name of the game on Wednesday afternoon in Bishop Keough High’s 14-13 victory over crosstown rival Shea High at the Hank Soar Complex. Both clubs combined to collect just five hits (four by the host Koalas) and an astounding 40 walks (22 by the Raiders). The Koalas, who raised their record to 6-11, actually received a strong game offensively from catcher Allison DeVargas, who went 2-for-2 with a pair of walks and three RBIs. The Raiders (4-13) actually held a 13-5 lead after 2½ innings of play, but the Koalas responded with five runs in the fifth and four in the sixth. *** Shea 355 000 0—13-1-0 Bishop Keough 140 054 0—14-4-0 Kristen Potter, Kelsey Davenport (3) and Abigale Rodriguez; Alicia Pierce and Allison DeVargas.
