PROVIDENCE -- Sophomore Chris Nunes earned medalist honors as St. Raphael Academy split its season opener on Monday at Triggs, losing to North Providence and defeating Johnston. Smithfield earns split in opener FOSTER -- Smithfield opened its season on Monday by splitting with La Salle and Scituate. The powerful Rams needed just 158 strokes from its four scorers to run away with the sweep while Smithfield’s 194 total easily defeated Scituate. Tolman cruises over Shea PAWTUCKET -- Jared Coyle shot a nine-hole score of 50 at Pawtucket Country Club on Monday while pacing Tolman to a 50-shot victory over Shea High in the season opener for both teams.
