EP girls primed for playoffs E-mail

EAST PROVIDENCE -- East Providence High put the finishing touches on its best regular season in over 15 years on Thursday night by notching a 66-20 victory over visiting Middletown High in their Division II-East game.
Stephanie Michalopoulos scored 13 points and Michelle Fleming added 10 for the Townies, who head into the playoffs with a 12-5 division record (16-7 overall). They finish third in the standings behind co-champs Barrington High and Portsmouth High, who each have 16-1 records.
Michaela Wiggins added eight points and 12 rebounds, and Amanda Cabral had six points, four assists, and four steals.
