EAST PROVIDENCE – It was no contest on Tuesday night as East Providence outclassed Cumberland, 70-39, in a Division I contest.
Donald Williams and Abe Daramola led the Townies with 14 points apiece. Ken Gordon added 11 points and 8 rebounds for EP, which is now 4-5 in league play. The Townies host St. Raphael Academy on Friday.
Adrian Oliveira had 10 points for Cumberland, which fell to 2-6 in D-I.

Classical outlasts Lincoln
LINCOLN – Lincoln High gave unbeaten Classical fits for most of Tuesday night’s Division II game before the visitors pulled away to a 50-42 victory.
The Lions led 22-21 at halftime.
“Except for a six-minute stretch in the second half whee we committed some turnovers and did not execute our offense, we were right in the game,” said Lincoln coach Kent Crookes.
The Lions are now 3-6 in D-II and 5-9 overall. Classical improved to 8-0 in league play.

Shea tops Scituate on road
SCITUATE --- Malcolm Moniz and Kelvin Walker were the 1-2 punch that helped floor Scituate High on Tuesday night, as the Shea High duo teamed up to score 39 points in a 64-56 triumph over the host Spartans in a Division II-North battle.
Moniz poured in 23 points and added four steals and as many assists for the Raiders, who are 6-2 in the division and 8-5 overall. Walker added 16 points and contributed seven steals, and Braulio Silva was a monster on the boards, ripping down 17 rebounds.
The Raiders only led by five (31-26) at the break, but never lost their lead in the second half.
Shea will host Pilgrim High on Friday night.

Pilgrim defeats Tolman
WARWICK --- Tolman High turned in one of its worst performances of the season on Tuesday night and paid dearly for it, as Pilgrim High posted a 67-47 victory over the visiting Tigers in their Division II-North matchup.  
“We played terrible,” said Tolman coach Mike Kayata, whose team is 5-3 in the division and 6-6 overall. “This was probably one of our worst efforts of the year. We didn’t rebound, we didn’t defend, and we didn’t make shots.”
Rodney Bustillo scored nine points to guide the Tigers, and Allens Etienne, Nick Fontaine, and Julio Andrade each added eight. Etienne picked up two fouls in the first minute of play and was forced to spend most of the night on the bench.
