Pair busted in C.F. shooting E-mail

CENTRAL FALLS — Police have announced the arrests of two Fall River residents as suspects in a local shooting just one day after it occurred.

According to information from the Central Falls Police Department, Fall River police have arrested Jesse Robertson, 31, of 22 Flint St., and Samantha O’Shea, 23, of 217 Doyle St. The arrests came after local police reportedly obtained warrants triggering a search in Fall River that turned up a .25-caliber handgun.
The pair were arrested in connection with an incident in front of a Fuller Avenue home shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday. At that time, a car pulled up to the residence where Jeremy Palma, 17, and a sibling of his were playing basketball. Someone in the car shot Palma in the thigh, police said.
The shooting is believed related to an argument over pit bulls. That argument reportedly didn't involve Palma; according to police, Palma was shot after allegedly giving the suspects “an attitude.”
Palma was treated at an area hospital and released, police said.
Col. Joseph Moran, the city’s police chief, said Palma and his brother were not technically in violation of the city’s curfew, given that the pair were outside their home. However, he stressed the need for parents to be vigilant against the possibility of incidents like this one.
The suspects were tracked down after an officer reportedly found their vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant on Summer Street. It was towed and processed, which led police in short order to the pair.
Robertson and O’Shea were both slated for arraignment on other charges in Massachusetts before being extradited to Rhode Island to face charges related to the shooting. In the meantime, Robertson was held at the Massachusetts House of Corrections.
Although information from police described the offense as “assault with a dangerous weapon,” Moran said his department had not yet filed specific charges #against either suspect. He added that both may face federal charges, due in part to having crossed state lines to allegedly shoot Palma.

I love the fact that the bridge is now open again and it didn't
take as long as I thought!  Good work!

There are no good breakfast places now that Tigger's burned down.
The sidewalks are rolled up before 7pm and there is a lack of a friendly atmosphere.
I just returned from England and the people there bent over backwards to help us
out and were treated us like visiting dignitaries. There is nothing to do
at night except drink alcohol and heaven forbid if you drive afterward.  I don't
really know what can be done but it's an unfriendly place.
