CENTRAL FALLS — An unidentified man who was apparently shot in his car Tuesday afternoon is in critical condition, and the shooter is being sought, according to police.

Officers responded to the intersection of Broad Street and Clay Street at approximately 2:33 p.m., following reports of someone being shot. Police closed the intersection briefly, redirecting traffic off of Broad Street while they investigated the scene, where they found a black sedan believed to belong to the victim.
A white Jeep was seen fleeing the area and traveling on Barton Street, with at least two Hispanic females and possibly two Hispanic males in the vehicle.
However, it could not be confirmed whether or not this was connected to the shooting. Pawtucket Police had also responded to the scene, due in part to its close proximity to their city.
Colonel Joseph Moran, the city’s police chief, said he could not release the name of the victim Tuesday night, as his family had not been notified. However, Moran said the victim was a 21-year-old Hispanic male who had previously lived in Central Falls and Pawtucket, but whose current residence was unknown.
No arrests had been made for the shooting as of press time. However, Times staffers did see a police cruiser transport one man from the scene. Col. Moran did indicate Tuesday night that police had been speaking to a person of interest regarding the shooting, but that no one had been taken into custody as of press time.
Col. Moran said it was too early to indicate a possible motive for the shooting. However, he said the department did have a warrant for the arrest of a particular individual in relation to the shooting, and the department was still inspecting other evidence it had found.
“We did process a vehicle that was involved in the incident,” Col. Moran said. “The investigation is still ongoing. Hopefully we’ll be able to (apprehend) the individual, and we’ll be in good shape.”

I love the fact that the bridge is now open again and it didn't
take as long as I thought!  Good work!

There are no good breakfast places now that Tigger's burned down.
The sidewalks are rolled up before 7pm and there is a lack of a friendly atmosphere.
I just returned from England and the people there bent over backwards to help us
out and were treated us like visiting dignitaries. There is nothing to do
at night except drink alcohol and heaven forbid if you drive afterward.  I don't
really know what can be done but it's an unfriendly place.
