PAWTUCKET — Pawtucket Police are searching for a black female suspect who robbed the Pawtucket Credit Union on Smithfield Avenue on Thursday at around 2 p.m.

According to Detectives Major Arthur Martins, the woman handed a teller a note demanding money and indicating that she had a weapon, although none was shown. The woman escaped with an undetermined amount of cash, and fled the scene on foot, according to witnesses.
Martins said that police are investigating whether the woman is possibly the same suspect who robbed a Navigant Credit Union in Lincoln several weeks ago.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Pawtucket Police at 727-9100.
