Two arrested for charter school break-in

PAWTUCKET — Despite their attempts to hide, two city men were arrested after breaking into the International Charter School on Monday night.
Pawtucket Police said they received a call that an alarm was sounding at the school, located at 334 Pleasant St., at around 9 p.m. When officers arrived, they observed a broken window on the side of the building and could also see a man running inside.
When the officers were able to gain entry, they found a male suspect who was attempting to conceal himself behind a door. He was taken into custody and identified as Hernany J. Evora, 26, of Sterry Street.
Police said that officers continued to search the building and located a second male suspect hiding in a small space beneath a staircase.
This man, Victor Acevedo, 25, of Mineral Spring Avenue, was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
