Thomas A. Lee Sr.
PAWTUCKET - Lee, Thomas A., Sr. Archie, 89, of Pawtucket, RI, died Tuesday, September 18 at Oak Hill Nursing Home. He was the husband of Maria (Pena) Lee and the late Eva Elizabeth (Gaumond) Lee.
Born in Providence, RI, a son of the late Anthony F. Lee and the late Marie Rose (Contois) Lee-Jodat.
He was a designer and sample maker for Interpak for 31 yrs., retiring in 1996. A WWII veteran of the US Navy, he served aboard the USS Charles Carroll APA28; participating in six campaigns between 1942 and 1945 including the invasion at Normandy. He later served in the US Marines until 1948. He was an active member of the Walter G. Gatchell VFW Post #306 Pawtucket. He was an artist, woodworker, outdoorsman, and avid reader.
He is survived by one son, Thomas A. Lee, Jr. & his wife Rachel of Pawtucket; two daughters, Linda M. Grueb & her husband James of North Kingstown and Cheryl A. Lefebvre & her husband Ronald of Lincoln; two brothers, Roland R. Lee of CA & Robert E. Lee & his wife Barbara of Providence; two sisters, Marie Murphy Microulis of Rumford & Lillian Heaney & her husband James of FL; 7 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Frank R. Lee, Sr.
A committal service and burial with military honors will be held at RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, RI on Thursday, 9/27/12 at 10:10 am. All attending, meet at the Administration parking lot.
