PAWTUCKET- Tady "TED" Czyzewicz 86, entered into eternal peace on Monday September 26, 2011, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Frances V. (Czupryna) Czyzewicz.
Born in Central Falls he was a son of the late Jan and Pauline (Szerlag) Czyzewicz. He was predeceased by his four older brothers, John, Adolph, Chester and Thomas.
Before retiring he was employed by Jordon Marsh/ Macy's in Warwick in the Men's Fine Clothing department for 20 years.
Mr. Czyzewicz was a WWII Army veteran serving as a Sergeant with Battery D 793rd Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion in the Pacific. He was a graduate of Central Falls High School and Bryant College where he earned a BA in Economics.
Ted was a communicant of the Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church of Central Falls where he volunteered as Treasurer for many years. He was a past Vice President and Treasurer of the former St. Joseph's Seniors in Central Falls and a member of the Fierlit-Korzen A.L. Post #79.
Besides his wife he leaves his loving children Pauline Czyzewicz, John and his wife Susan, Edward and his wife Leslie as well as his grandchildren Michael, Justin, Sara and Adam, nieces and nephews.
His funeral with Military Honors will be held Friday September 30, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Church 320 High Street Central Falls at 10:00 a.m. CALLING HOURS THURSDAY FROM 4:00 PM TO 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
