Stephen J. Cunha
PAWTUCKET - Stephen J. Cunha, 48 of Pawtucket, Rhode Island died suddenly on Saturday, January 14, 2012. Stephen grew up in Rumford, RI and had a passion for sports and always supported his home team. He also loved his boat which was docked at the East Providence yacht club and spent Saturdays with his friends working on cars. He was a member of the East Providence Elks and a dedicated employee in the fire alarm service industry for over 25 years. He is survived by his wife and soul mate Jude, his son Stephen Jr., his daughter Amanda, and the light of his life, his grandson Kyle. He was son of Ruth Cunha of Rumford and the late Edward F. Cunha. Stephen was the brother of James Cunha, Lynn Peltier, William Cunha, Patricia O'Hara, Nancy Blythe, Edward Cunha, Jr., and Anne Shmase.
The funeral for Mr. Cunha will be Friday, January 20, at 9:00 a.m. from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 a.m. The burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery. His calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 PM in the funeral home.
