Stanley J. Remiesiewicz
PAWTUCKET - Stanley J. Remiesiewicz, 91, died Monday, September 30, 2013 at Orchard View Manor, East Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie-Therese (Reinartz) Remiesiewicz and the late Lydia (Beben) Remiesiewicz.
He was born in Central Falls, the son of the late Stephen and Victoria (Pikor) Remiesiewicz. He was a Blackstone Valley resident his entire life. Mr. Remiesiewicz retired in 1980 after 34 years of dedicated service as a teacher, department head and assistant director at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, Fall River. He took much pride in his role in developing student talent. He was mentor to several generations of students.
Mr. Remiesiewicz was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army during World War II. He served with distinction in the 1st Infantry Division, attaining the rank of Second Lieutenant.
He leaves two sons, Edmund (Diane) Remiesiewicz of West Greenwich, RI; and Stanley (Michele) Remiesiewicz of The Villages, FL; and a daughter Victoria Remiesiewicz, also of The Villages, FL; a brother Joseph Remiesiewicz, of Canton, MA; a sister Stella Woods of Ben Wheeler, TX; and three grandchildren, Tracy Rader, Neil Remiesiewicz, and Julia Remiesiewicz.
Services are private.
Donations to Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School in memory of Mr. Remiesiewicz would be appreciated. All donations will go directly to assist students.
