S. Benjamin Pino

CUMBERLAND - S. Benjamin "Benny" Pino, 86, formerly of Meadowcrest Drive, passed away peacefully Friday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of Alzira "Elsie" (Coelho) Pino, and they had been married for the past 67 years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Rosario and Angelina (Torre) Pino. He resided in Cranston for the past nine years, previously residing in Cumberland.
Mr. Pino was the owner of Benjamins III of Central Falls for over 30 years until his retirement in 1987.
Benny was a former communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Among many interests, Benny most of all loved spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed Traveling and Golfing.
Besides his beloved wife, he leaves his children, Susanne Bulger of Greenville, Frank Pino of Lincoln, Barbara Cardi of Cranston; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Grosso, Ann Genereux and Pat Pino.
A celebration of his life will be held Monday with Visiting Hours from 8:30-10:30 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
