EUHARLEE, GA. - Ruth Salisbury, 80, of Fox Meadow Court, Euharlee, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012.
Mrs. Salisbury was born January 9, 1932 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late, William and Ruth (Allen) Nesbitt. She was a member of St. Francis Church of the Assisi, was a volunteer at Holly Springs School in Douglasville, was a Girl Scout Leader, loved reading, was an avid seamstress who reveled in making doll clothes for her granddaughter, Molly and recently became active in the Euharlee Senior's Club. She was an amazing lady who never met a stranger and always had a smile and kind word for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Albert Mills Salisbury.
Surviving is her daughter and son in law, Melissa and Todd Moore of Euharlee, grandchildren, Molly Grace Moore and Andrew Moore, a sister, Ann Fernstrom of Milton Fla., brother, William Nesbitt of Lincoln, R.I., ten nieces and nephews, Jay Nesbitt, Jim Nesbitt, Maryanne Murray, Mark Nesbitt, Jennifer Murray, Dianne Fernstrom, Erica Fernstrom-Alexander, Sharon Crute-Bray, Richard Crute and Sam Crute.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 23, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Douthit Ferry Road, with Father Dan Stack officiating.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Pawtucket, R.I. and she will be buried alongside her husband at the Veteran's Cemetery in Rhode Island. Owen Funeral Home 12 Collins Drive Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
