Russell C. Newsham
PAWTUCKET - Russell C. Newsham, 86 died Monday at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket. He was the husband of the late Theresa F. (La Bare) Newsham. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary (St. Jean) Newsham. He was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.
Prior to his retirement in 1999, Russell was a Jewelry Foreman for McConnell & Carpenter, Inc. in Pawtucket. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a lifelong member of the J.K. Club and the Jacques Cartier Club in Pawtucket.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis Newsham of Warwick and Raymond Newsham of Pawtucket; two daughters, Linda Masske of Boca Raton Florida and Carol Benoit of East Providence; a sister, Dorothy Gauthier of Pawtucket; and 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME, 643 Main Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church, Slater Street, Pawtucket at 11:00 a.m. His life will be celebrated with calling hours of Friday from 4:00 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
