Roger R. Paille

ATTLEBORO - Roger R. Paille, 72, of Richard Street, Attleboro, passed peacefully on Sunday, May 20, 2012 in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence, Rhode Island. He was the beloved husband of Donna M. (Chagnon) Paille.

Born in Attleboro on June 24, 1939, he was a son of Lou (Raposa) Paille and the late Raymond Paille. Roger was educated in Attleboro schools and was a member of the Sea Scouts in earlier days.

Roger worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Attleboro for thirty four years prior to retirement. He was a longtime communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Attleboro, where he was very active in the parish, as an altar server, a Eucharistic minister, member of the Church Board, and volunteer at the Food Cellar. He was a recipient of the Diocese of Fall River Marian Medal. Roger and Donna were also avid square dancers.

In addition to his wife Donna, Roger is survived by a two children; Denise M. Frappollo of Attleboro and Brian R. Paille of Warwick, a brother; Raymond R. “Russell” Paille of Norton, a sister; Eleanor L. Ballirano of Riverside, Rhode Island, and a granddaughter; Jennifer R. Guyer of Attleboro.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro where the Paille family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 23rd from 4PM - 8 PM. A funeral will be conducted on Thursday, May 24th at 9:30 AM from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 208 South Main Street, Attleboro, celebrated by Rev. John Murray, Pastor. Roger will be laid to rest in St. John’s Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Roger’s memory may be made to: St. Joseph’s Church Food Cellar, or St. Vincent de Paul Society, 208 South Main Street, Attleboro, MA 02703, or Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
