Robert G. Fournier
CENTRAL FALLS - Robert G. Fournier, 78, of High Street died Monday, February 10, 2014 at Woonsocket Health Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Carol A. (Gouveia) Fournier.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late George and Evelyn (Carpenter) Fournier, he had lived in Pawtucket before moving to Lincoln for 10 years and has lived in Central Falls for the past 6 years.
Mr. Fournier was a self-employed brick mason for many years before retiring. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his seven children, Melanie Fournier Wenz of Lincoln, Barbara Redinger of North Scituate, Ruth-Ann Nyzio of Cumberland, Bruce Fournier of Maryland, James Fournier of Colorado, Monica Crowe of Cumberland and Jerry Johnson of Oakley, CA; two sisters, Jane Aceto of North Providence and Janice Ciccone of North Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ann Smith.
His funeral will be held WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12 at 8:30 A.M. from BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Jude's Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial, with military honors, will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
