Rita Rae Taylor
PAWTUCKET - Taylor, Rita Rae (Venturini) Brodeur, 67, of Magill St., Pawtucket died Saturday at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of Gilbert G. Taylor and former spouse of Richard J. Brodeur, Sr. of Pawtucket.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Victor J and Shirley M. (Dugas) Venturini. Rita was a lifelong resident of the city, and was employed by the City of Pawtucket for 15 years as a Crossing Guard.
Rita touched many lives with her generous spirit. She was lovingly devoted to her family and a 'mom' to many. We will miss her laughter, her nurturing nature and her wonderful Italian cooking.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard J. Brodeur, Jr. of Pawtucket and Jason J. Brodeur of North Attleboro, four brothers, Robert P., Gary J., and Kevin M. Venturini all of Pawtucket, William V. Venturini of Warwick and two sisters, Francine A. Venturini of Pawtucket and Dale J. Venturini of Cranston, two grandchildren, Alec W. Brodeur of Foxboro and Reilly Brodeur of North Attleboro, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Victor J. Venturini, Jr. and Paul Venturini.
A funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 AM from the CHEETHAM MORTUARY INC., 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary Church, 103 Pine Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
