Rita M. Goyette
ATTLEBORO - Rita M. Goyette, 93, of Attleboro, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Golden Living Center, Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Richard T. Goyette.
Born August 27, 1920 in Lynn, MA she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Eva (Tetrault) Guertin.
Rita was raised and educated in Pawtucket and was a 1938 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Pawtucket. She was employed at the former Robbins Company for 27 years as a jewelry packer.
Rita lived on Locust Street in Attleboro for over 55 years before moving to Christopher Heights in 2009. She was a longtime communicant of the former St. Stephens Church in Attleboro. She loved knitting, reading, sewing, playing cards, bingo and crossword puzzles.
Rita is survived by her six sons, Richard T. Goyette Jr. of Seekonk, Ronald L. Goyette of Naples, ME, Russell M. Goyette of Moultonborough, NH, Raymond R. Goyette of Griswold, CT, Roy R. Goyette of Colchester, CT and Roch S. Goyette of Attleboro; three daughters, Rita O. Bell of Johnston, RI, Robin M. Perry of South Attleboro and Rosalind E. Cokonis of Seekonk; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 2 nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 4- 8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro.
A funeral will be conducted on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 9 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Coyle Drive, Seekonk. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Attleboro.
