Rita F. Stebenne
CENTRAL FALLS, RI - Rita "Chick" F. (Robidou) Stebenne, 91, of Central Falls passed away unexpectedly Saturday December 1, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles J. Stebenne. Rita was born in Central Falls the daughter of the late Charles and Robertine (Vincent) Robidou.
he was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Central Falls class of 1938. Mrs. Stebenne worked in sales and alterations department at the former Rosens Clothing Store in Pawtucket for fifteen years. Rita then worked for Morris Novelty in Pawtucket as the Office Manager for twenty years before retiring several years ago. Mrs. Stebenne was a former communicant of Saint Mathieu Church, know now as Holy Spirit Parish in Central Falls. Rita cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Chick was a talented seamstress who also liked to play cards and read.
Survivors are two daughters: Charlotte "Patty" Obrien and her husband William of Somerset, MA; Betsy McLaughlin of Seekonk, MA; three sons: Russell Stebenne and his wife Marilyn of Cumberland, RI; Kenneth R. Stebenne and his wife Sandra of Swansea, MA; Robert Stebenne and his wife Evangelynn of Narragansett, RI; sixteen grandchildren and great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Doris Robidou, Roland and Russell Robidou.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Stebenne will be on Thursday at 8:30am from the Bellows Funeral Chapel 160 River Road, Lincoln, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 9:30am in Holy Spirit Parish 1030 Dexter Street, Central Falls. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket. CALLING HOURS will be held on WEDNESDAY from 4-7pm in the Bellows Funeral Chapel Lincoln.
