Richard Bruce Fairweather
PAWTUCKET - Richard Bruce Fairweather, 68, of Chaplin Street passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at home.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Everett H. and Ivy (Robertshaw) Fairweather.
Richard graduated from Tolman High School in 1962. Following high school, he served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Rhode Island National Guard. He worked as a successful sales executive for many years before retiring in 2007.
Richard was a supportive and loving father to his children. He was an avid hobbyist in Amateur Radio and enjoyed reaching out to many contacts around the world. Richard was a hobby photographer, and, much like his father Everett, he enjoyed photographing all subjects especially nature and portraitures.
Richard is survived by his children, Kimberly A. Vivanco and her husband, Joseph of Buckhannon, WV, Lauren M. Fairweather and her husband, Jason Giocontere of Salem, MA, and Andrew J. and Todd S. Fairweather, both of Harrisville; his wife, Barbara L. (Warburton) Fairweather of Harrisville; his brother, David G. Fairweather and his wife, Lynn of Charlestown; and two grandchildren.
His Memorial Service will be held SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10 at 1 P.M. at BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donation in Richard's memory to Save the Bay, Inc., 100 Save the Bay Drive, Providence, RI 02905 would be appreciated.
