PAWTUCKET - Raymond J. O'Riley, 90, of Goff Ave., Pawtucket passed away June 10, 2012 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center, Providence.
He was the husband of the late Mary (Bolandz) O'Riley. He was born in Providence, the son of the late Mildred Frechette. He was also the son of his adoptive parents Margaret and George O'Riley.
He worked in numerous restaurants as a cook in RI, also owning two restaurants in Providence. He worked in food service his entire life, retiring at age 83. He served in the US Military (Navy) during WWII and received the Purple Heart.
He is survived by one son, Raymond P. O'Riley of Pawtucket, four daughters, Mary Clarke of Scituate, Joanne Landry, Kathleen Dailey and Laura Gianakkas, all of Pawtucket. He was also blessed with 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
There will be a mass of Christian Burial for Mr. O'Riley on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Leo/Cecilia's Church, Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice in Mr. O'Riley's name.
