Police identify body in river as missing man

August 28, 2012

CENTRAL FALLS(AP) — Police say a body pulled from the Blackstone River in Central Falls last week is that of a 31-year-old man reported missing from a treatment center.
Police said Tuesday the body found in the river was that of Marvin Reynolds.
Reynolds had been reported missing by Gateway Healthcare, Inc. on Aug. 18. Police issued a warrant for his arrest because he was required as a condition of his parole to remain in one of Gateway's facilities.
Police said earlier that Reynolds was admitted to the facility in Central Falls, under court order, in June. Authorities said he had been serving time for a 2008 robbery in Pawtucket.
The medical examiner's office has yet to rule on a cause of death.
