CUMBERLAND- Piedade "Pat" Lourenco (Freitas), 95, formerly of Silva St. passed away Thursday at the Woonsocket Health Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Fernando Lourenco.
Born in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Lucas and Virginia (Santos) Freitas.
She resided in Cumberland for most of her life. She was an active communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and proud member of the Clube Juventude Lusitana, Cumberland and the Uniao Benificente, Pawtucket. Pat's enjoyment came from crocheting, cooking, and, most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children, Fernando "Fred" Lourenco and his wife Mickey of Warwick; Joseph Lourenco and his wife Jeanne of Cumberland; and Alice Sproviero and her husband Steve of Scottsdale, AZ. She was the dear sister of Deolinda Freitas of Cumberland, and the late Mary Antunes, Daniel, Angelo, and Salvatore Freitas. She was also the cherished grandmother of six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rte. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Dr., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
