Phillip J. Stroscio
PAWTUCKET - Phillip J. Stroscio of Walcott Street, Pawtucket passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Hospice after suffering a long illness with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of June E. (Drummond) Stroscio. Mr. Stroscio was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Frank Stroscio and Josephine (Sidoti) Stroscio.
He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II, Serving in Europe and was a lifetime member of the VFW. Before retiring Phillip worked as a printer initially at J.C. Hall Company and later at Citizens bank.
Besides his wife of 62 years Mr. Stroscio is survived by his children, Joseph Stroscio of Attleboro Falls Ma., Frank Stroscio of Woonsocket, and Lisa Walas of Pawtucket. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Melissa Stroscio, Krystal Lundquist, Joshua David, Sarah David and Emma Walas and his great grandchildren, Connor Curran, Logan Lavoie, Ava Lundquist and Dylan David. He also leaves his sister Rosina Boron.
The funeral for Mr. Stroscio will be Friday at 9:00 am from the MANNING-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Holy Family Parish, 195 Walcott Street, Pawtucket at 10:00 am. His burial with full Military Honors will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. The calling hours for Mr. Stroscio will be Thursday 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
