PAWTUCKET - Peter Orloff, 92 of Pawtucket died Monday at the Pawtucket Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center. He is the husband of Therese Orloff. Born in Pawtucket, Peter is the son of the late Fred and Julia (Borchov) Orloff.
He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in Rome-Arno, North Apennines and PO Valley. He was the recipient of the American Theater Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, EAMET Campaign Medal with three Bronze Service Stars and the Bronze Star Medal.
Prior to his retirement in 1986, Peter worked as a Foreman at the Standard Nut & Bolt Company of Cumberland for40 years. Peter was also a member of the American Legion Post 14 in Cumberland for over 50 years.
Beside his wife, Peter leaves several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Elizabeth Simpson and Helen Hebert.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME, 643 Main Street, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow in St. Aiden's Church, Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland at 10:00 a.m. Peterâ€™s life will be celebrated with calling hours on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
