Paul N. Gingras
PAWTUCKET - Paul N. Gingras, 85, died Wednesday, November 21, 2013 at Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island. He was the beloved husband of the late Genevieve (Losiewicz) Gingras for 44 years until her death in 2000. Paul was a lifelong resident of the Blackstone Valley; born in Pawtucket the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Baron) Gingras. He was a painting subcontractor until his retirement in 1993.
He was an avid Red Sox fan. He was a former coach in the Darlington American Little League. Paul was a member of Sullivan Council of the Knights of Columbus. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII.
Paul is survived by his son Paul S. Gingras and his wife Karen of Groton, Ma; his daughter Deborah McNerney and her husband Steve of Pawtucket; his grandsons Michael, Andrew, and Matthew Gingras, and Stephen McNerney; a brother Louis Gingras of Lincoln, RI and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Claire Beland, Dorothy Vallaincourt, and Leo, Raymond, Conrad, Noella, and Gail Gingras.
His funeral will be held from the Darlington Mortuary, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Teresa's Church, Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Prospect Street, Pawtucket. Calling hours in the funeral home on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
