Paul E. Vary
PAWTUCKET- Paul E. Vary, 88, of Pawtucket, died Sunday, April 15th at the Philip Hulitar Center, Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, after a brief hospitalization. He was the husband of Yvette (Richard) Vary.
Mr. Vary was born in Central Falls, the son of the late Emanuel and Josephine (Chartier) Vary and he was a lifelong resident of the Blackstone Valley. He was a builder/contractor and was the owner/operator of Darl Construction for many years, retiring in 1986.
He was US Army Warrant Officer, a veteran of WWII serving in France. He was a lifetime member of the former Eugene T. Lefebvre Post, the American Legion Post 14 of Cumberland, and BPOE, Pawtucket.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Alan Vary of Rome, GA and Kenneth Vary of S. Attleboro, a grandson, David Vary of FL, and a sister, Claire Bourgette of S. Attleboro. He was the brother of the late Doran and Leon Vary, and the late Annette Duffell and Aurore Carr.
The funeral with military honors will be held from the DARLINGTON MORTUARY OF L. HEROUX & SON, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19th. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Theresa's Church, 18 Baltic Street, S. Attleboro at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours in the funeral home Wednesday, April 18th from 5-8:00 p.m.
