Olive N. Bowker
SMITHFIELD- Olive N. (Bardsley) Bowker, 90, of Log Road died Monday, February 27, 2012 at Hebert Health Center, Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Albert S. Bowker.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Matthew and Alice (McAlpine) Bardsley, she had lived in Pawtucket for most of her life before moving to Smithfield over 5 years ago.
Mrs. Bowker was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, Pawtucket, where she was a member of the Lambda Omega Society of the Church. She was a member of Queen Esther Chapter #2, Order of the Eastern Star, Pawtucket and a member of the Samuel Slater PTA.
Olive's greatest joy in life was her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Elaine M. Culton and her husband, David of Greenville; one son, Albert M. Bowker and his wife, Gloria of Smithfield; four grandchildren, David Culton of Del Ray, FL, Lisa Mulcahey and her husband, James of Richmond, Matthew Bowker and his wife, Doreen of Plantsville, CT, and Mark Bowker of Clarksville, TN; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Francis, Matthew, Joseph and Harold Bardsley, and Alice Greene.
Her funeral will be held FRIDAY, MARCH 2 at 11 A.M. at BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will be in Moshassuck Cemetery, Central Falls.
