Nicole A. Arruda
RHINEBECK, NY - Nicole A. Arruda, 32, of Rhinebeck, NY, passed away on Saturday, January 26th, 2013 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck as a result of an automobile accident.
Born on March 1, 1980, in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of Marilyn (Maloof) Sullivan of Rhinebeck and Ronald T. Arruda of Jefferson, OH. She was a graduate of Shea High School in Pawtucket, RI- Class of 1998.
Nicole worked as a waitress at Abela's on the Green at Red Hook Golf Course in Red Hook, NY. For many years she also worked as a pharmacy tech with CVS in Kingston and Long Island, and Stop & Shop in Rhinebeck.
Nicole was an avid dancer and performer of the arts. She was a member of the Twirly Girls Dance Group based in Rhode Island and a member of the West Coast Swingers. She also was a member of the Rhode Island Poetry Society and enjoyed singing karaoke.
She also was a member of Landmark Education - an industry leader for personal training and development, and that collaboration led her to positions in the New York, Boston and Europe centers.
She is survived by loving family, including her mother and step father; Marilyn and Dan Sullivan of Rhinebeck, NY, her father and step mother; Ronald and Joyce Arruda of Jefferson, OH, her brother; Seth Arruda of Cranston, RI, her two nieces; Gabrielle and Zoe Arruda, her godfather; Edward Ayoub of Pawtucket, RI, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 31, 2012 at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Rhinebeck, NY. Interment will be private.
There will be no calling hours.
