Michael A. Rossi
PAWTUCKET - Michael A. "Mickey" Rossi, 77, of Pawtucket, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 43 years, Ann M. (Kelly) Rossi and his parents, Michael A. and Margaret (Scungio) Rossi.
Michael graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, with a degree in Building Construction in 1958 and Architectural Drafting in 1961. He was employed by his family's Business, Rossi Builders Inc. for 30 years. After his retirement he went to work as a school bus driver. Michael was the past Governor of the Moose Lodge in Pawtucket and New Bedford. As a young man he was a trick water skier and a skilled horseman and owner.
Michael is survived by his beloved daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" Masse; 4 grandchildren, Monica, Matthew, and Micayla Masse, Michael A. Butler; his sisters, Joan McKenna, Elaine R. Quigley; and many generations of loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Michael A. Rossi, Jr. and 2 brothers, Richard E. and Joseph "Chubby" Rossi.
Calling hours, Monday 4-8 pm in the A.A MARIANI and Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence. Funeral Tuesday at 9 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
