Michael N. Kazas
PROVIDENCE - Michael N. Kazas (70), son of (the late) Nicholas and Keriaki (Mastrantonis) Kazas of Providence, RI, died early morning Thursday, November 1, 2012 after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Espie (Beck) KazasProvidence, RI; his daughter, Sunday Kazas and granddaughter Aspasia-Dina Gordon, Providence and Pawtucket, RI; his son Nicholas Kazas and wife Melissa Kazas and grandchildren Matthew Seavey-Pimental & Damiana Kazas, Douglas, MA.
Michael was retired; he was a restaurant manager at Foxwoods Casino. He was a loving and caring son-in-law to his wifes parents who loved him as their son. He and his wife were only children; they spent the majority of their retirement together caring for his in-laws and each other.
Michael was a wonderful father to his children: supportive, involved, and ever present. He never missed an opportunity to be dad and put his family first. His grandchildren were never far in thought and held them all close to his heart.
His friends through the years were part of his family; he was grateful to have their kindnesses and their support. His faith in God saw him through his illness providing the strength he needed to fight, and gave him comfort and peace to endure.
There will be calling hours for Mike on Sunday, November 4 from 4-7 pm in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. His funeral and burial will be private. For online condolences please visit
