Mary A. Wiker
PAWTUCKET - Mary A. Wiker 91, of Second Street passed away at her residence Sunday February 13, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Bernard Wiker.
Born in Pawtucket she was a daughter of the late Peter and Nellie (Kuras) Wiewura. She lived in Pawtucket all of her life.
Mrs. Wiker was employed as an Operating Room Nurse at Rhode Island Hospital for 3 years and at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital for 6 years.
Mary was a WW II Army Nurse and served as a Second Lieutenant in England. She was a Past Regional Co-Captain for the Heart Fund and a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Besides her husband she leaves 2 sons James G. Wiker of Stamford, CT and Robert B. Wiker of Pawtucket, 1 granddaughter Marissa Wiker of New York City. She was the sister of the late Stacia Sienko.
Her funeral with Military Honors will be held Wednesday February 16, 2011 at 8:30 AM from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa Of The Child Jesus Church 358 Newport Avenue Pawtucket at 10:00 AM. CALLING HOURS WEDNESDAY FROM 8:30 AM TO 9:30 AM. Burial at the RI Veterans Cemetery Exeter, RI.
